Objetivou-se avaliar a situação ambiental e a gestão das Unidades de Conservação de Campo Grande-MS. Para alcançar esta finalidade, entrevistas com os gestores das Unidades foram realizadas. Os resultados mostraram que, de modo geral, não há planejamento para estas áreas, os mecanismos de gestão existentes são deficientes e todas as Unidades apresentam problemas ambientais. A ausência de recursos financeiros foi a maior dificuldade levantada pelos gestores.

The aim of this study was to evaluate the environmental situation and management of the conservation units in Campo Grande, State of Mato Grosso do Sul. To this end, interviews with the managers of these units were carried out. The results showed that, in general, there is no planning for those areas, the managing mechanisms are defective, and all the units present environmental problems. The lack of financial resources was the greatest difficulty reported by the managers.
